Marty Hale was born and raised in Central Texas, the son of a carpenter, and lives in the Austin area. He is a private pilot, a NICA Level 3 mountain-bike coach and a coach for the Lake Travis MTB team, and a father of three.
He is also an ordained minister who served as a missionary in Mexico City and in Irian Jaya, Indonesia, and has spent decades as an executive in emerging markets.
